questions of the day…
how do you tell a friend you love so dearly that they make you sad?
they make you sad when they care so much about you.
they make you sad when they tell you their problems.
they make you sad when you can’t solve their problems.
so you stop picking up their phone calls.
and it just gets harder and harder to pick up.
what do you do?
I had a friend sort of like this. He got married at a relatively young age and all he kept talking about was how life isn’t as good as when we were teenagers, how his life is boring, etc.
I told him, that’s it, don’t call me anymore. And that was that.
I think its normal for friendships to start and end once the people have grown appart, in different directions, and one of hte sides no longer feels that he/she is enjoying it anymore. You don’t have to be friends with the same people all your life. I only see one frieend from school regularly, the rest are all new.
Happens to a lot of people.
but its still sad…
